Therese Bahl was a highly accomplished artist in various mediums, particularly the field of American Decorative Arts. Her miniature painted pieces are highly prized and collected. Being from Pittsburgh, PA we were fortunate to know her and respect not only her talent, but her willingness to promote the world of miniatures to all. She was a member of NAME (National Association of Miniature Enthusiasts) and Board President (1992) of IGMA (International Guild of Miniature Artisans. She was selected as a Guild Artisan and later as a Distinguished Fellow. For many summers she taught at the Guild School in Castine, Maine.
This vintage wooden sled has her signature painting and details. Signed piece is from 1981.
