Vintage
miniature Navajo rug weaving. This is a very finely woven rug woven by the Master
Navajo Weaver Elizabeth Begay. Begay has won many awards for her exquisite rugs;
this piece is the second place winner in 1990.
Purchased in
1990 by this collector from the Museum of Northern Arizona for $150. It was
stored carefully in the original bag. The
price of these highly prized miniature weavings has escalated considerably over
time. Researching and comparing similar Bia
miniature rugs we have found them going for $100-$325.
